What is Shift Scan?
Shift Scan is a mobile app that makes it easy for employees to clock in and out of work, track their time, and submit forms — all without needing a traditional time clock. We use QR code scanning and geolocation to verify job site attendance, and our offline-first design ensures your time is always recorded, even without internet access.
Is shift scan available to everyone?
Shift Scan is currently not available to everyone.
We are gradually rolling out access to Shift Scan, starting with select employers and industries. If you are interested in using Shift Scan, please contact your employer to express your interest. We are working hard to make Shift Scan available to as many workers as possible in the near future.
Where can I download Shift Scan?
We are working on launching Shift Scan in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store soon.
Account & Sign-In
How do I get a Shift Scan account?
Shift Scan accounts are provisioned by your employer. If you work for a company that uses Shift Scan, ask your manager or office administrator to add you. You will receive your sign-in credentials from them.
I forgot my password — what do I do?
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and follow the prompts. If you do not receive a reset email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact your employer's administrator.
How do I delete my account?

Clocking In & Time Tracking
How do I clock in?
Open Shift Scan, choose your job site or scan the site's QR code, enter any other job specific details and tap Clock In. Your time will start tracking immediately.
Can I use Shift Scan without internet?
Yes. Shift Scan is offline-first — clock-ins, clock-outs, and forms are stored on your device and sync automatically the next time you have a connection. You will not lose work if you are out of cellular range.
Why isn't my time showing up on the dashboard?
Your time syncs to the dashboard once your device reconnects to the internet. If you are online and time still has not appeared after a few minutes, force-close the app and reopen it. If the issue continues, contact support.
Privacy & Location
Why does Shift Scan need my location?
Location is used to verify which job site you are on when you clock in or submit a form. It also allows your employer to see where their workforce is located in real time, which can be important for safety and operational efficiency. You can choose to disable location permissions, but you will not be able to clock in or submit forms that require location verification. While you are clocked in, location may be recorded in the background to support your employer's reporting. Location is only transmitted while you are on shift or filling out a location based form.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and we only share your information with your employer as part of normal workforce operations. See our Privacy Policy for details.
